Jakarta, June 4, 2024 – PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk. (ANJ) was honored with the “Best Enterprise in Regulatory Compliance” and “Most Inspiring Leader in Regulatory Compliance in Agriculture” awards at the 2024 Indonesia Regulatory Compliance Awards (IRCA). The event was organized by Hukumonline, a technology-based regulatory platform provider. A representative from Hukumonline presented the awards to Naga Waskita, ANJ's Director of Legal and Corporate Secretary, on Friday, May 31, in Jakarta.
Arkka Dhiratara, CEO of Hukumonline, stated that the 2024 IRCA acknowledges companies and their leaders for their dedication, performance, and commitment to legal compliance. The assessment criteria consider the industry sector, business complexity, and the level of regulatory challenges that each company encounters.
65 companies from 17 different industry sectors participated in the competition for four major award categories: Sapphire, Diamond, Gold, and Silver. These awards are presented based on the effectiveness of each company's legal compliance strategies regarding Indonesian regulations.
The assessment for IRCA 2024 is based on reports, narratives, and supporting documentation provided by the companies and their leaders. The evaluation emphasizes three key aspects: implementing strategies to uphold and enhance legal compliance, the effectiveness of organizational management by company leaders in ensuring compliance, and the oversight efforts related to legal adherence.
At IRCA 2024, ANJ was honored with the “Best Enterprise in Regulatory Compliance” award in the Sapphire category. This prestigious recognition highlights ANJ's unwavering commitment and consistency in following all applicable regulations and policies. The Sapphire category represents the highest standard awarded to companies that consistently excel in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. ANJ adheres to these rules and establishes high industry standards, positioning itself as a role model for others to follow.
Additionally, ANJ was honored with the award for “Most Inspiring Leader in Regulatory Compliance in Agriculture,” which was presented to Naga Waskita, the company's Director of Legal and Corporate Secretary.
"I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Hukumonline. This award is a testament to ANJ's dedication to complying with regulations in our daily operations. Our commitment to continuously enhancing corporate governance while fostering responsible business growth remains a top priority. This recognition serves as a tangible demonstration of our efforts to implement good governance practices that support the sustainability of our business," stated Naga Waskita.
In terms of corporate governance, ANJ has also been recognized by the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS). For the 2023 financial year, ANJ achieved an impressive score of 100.27, placing it at level 5 (>100.00) according to ACGS standards. This score not only reflects the highest level of achievement but also earns ANJ the prestigious designation of "Leadership in Corporate Governance."
