KAL SUPPORTS THE STUNTING PREVENTION PROGRAM BY DISTRIBUTING ESSENTIAL FOODS WITH THE GOVERNOR OF WEST KALIMANTAN

Ketapang, 30 October 2023 – In support of the West Kalimantan Governor's initiative to prevent stunting in the Ketapang area, PT Kayung Agro Lestari (KAL), a subsidiary of PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk. (ANJ) in Ketapang Regency, provided support by distributing 30 basic food packages. These were handed over to the Ketapang Regency Health Service by the Regional Government of Ketapang Regency. The distribution occurred on Thursday (26/10) at Posyandu Mawar, Kalinilam Village, Delta Pawan District, Ketapang Regency.
The event commenced with a review by Dr. H. Harisson, M.Kes., the Acting Governor of West Kalimantan Province, during his visit to the Posyandu activities for toddlers in Kalinilam Village. The primary objective of this Posyandu activity is to offer nutritional education to pregnant women, babies, and toddlers as a preventive measure against stunting. This collaborative effort involves the Ketapang District Health Service, the Kalinilam Village Government, and the Delta Pawan District Health Center.
The activity was attended by representatives from the Regent of Ketapang, represented by Expert Staff, the Head of the West Kalimantan Provincial Health Service, the Acting Chair of the West Kalimantan Province TP PKK, along with several representatives from various departments in the Ketapang Regency government. Additionally, invited representatives from other private sectors were also present.
Dr. H. Harisson, M.Kes., emphasized the significance of educating mothers about ensuring proper nutritional intake for children, as they are the future of the nation. Nutritious food fosters a healthy generation ready to contribute to their nation and region. Following his presentation, he expressed gratitude to Jamkrida, Bank Kalbar, and KAL for their support in providing basic food packages. He remarked, “We look forward to the continued provision of such assistance to further support the Regional Government in preventing stunting in the Ketapang Regency area.”
Dadi, General Manager of KAL, affirmed that KAL remains committed to supporting programs in the health sector, focusing on stunting prevention and health services for the surrounding village communities.
"Through this assistance, we aim to positively contribute to children's health, growth, and development. In line with the ANJ Group's vision and mission, we strive to improve people's quality of life through health, education, and socio-economic empowerment programs," concluded Dadi.
